If they have no powers Sell them for Money.

    *spolier*
You may wish to keep any diamonds you find because they're involved in a subquest. But you can find them in the area needed anyway.

I thought the egg was used to make or upgrade some potions...

and some of the gems are useful as quest items...

regular necklaces and rings, though, are only worh selling them for gold.

Eggs can be used to make a potion in Viciscamera area in Underdark (i belive that this potion increase your Strength and can be made only by Transmuter)

You can find a wyvern egg outside the Black Raven Monastery in a nest. It can be used to create a few SRT. potions in the Underdark provided you have a character with a high enough alchemy.

Dude, gems, rings, and necklaces make a great source of income. One of the best investments you can make is getting about 2-3 10 GP gem bags from stores that sell them. And then bother to pick the loot up, with intent to sell it. One gem doesn't seem like much. But enemies in IWD II like to load up on gems and such. So a bunch of gems really add up. You can really rake in the dough and buy better weapons and armor in turn.

And just like the Original, you get more cash the later in the game you sell those gems. So, think about it before you sell them.

If you're hacking your way through pretty easy, don't sell them just yet. Unless you see some really powerful stuff compared to what you have; like some +4 stuff in the stores, when all you have is +2.

But yeah; all those gem bags are made to hold all those gems. Load out.
