    Well. What can I say?

Well played Ireland seems fitting though :)

England were pants in nearly every department. You can't make that many mistakes and give away so many lineouts and expect to win a test match.

Very well played by the Ireland team. The best team won :) .

[EDIT: I refer to the Six Nations rugby match between England and Ireland by the way if that wasn't clear ;) ]

Yach! Never understood the fun thing about watching rugby/american football. Sure it can be funny seeing some hard-contact, though it gets boring... Fun as hell playing yourself though!

Go Ireland! I was their sole supporter on #sorcerers this afternoon but I was dancing around the place when the final whistle went. No Grand Slam this year!

How good was Jason 'Dancing Shoes' Robinson today? I told you he only looks good against inferior defence (like Italy and Scotland). he just dances around too much when the defense knows what they are doing.

Anyway, it is nice to see an English rugby supporter gracious in defeat! Good for you!

I don't think thats a performance you can judge ability on tbh Harbourboy.

The team lacked discipline, composure and strength all over. Runners and flair players like Jason Robinson rely on the forwards making opportunities for them. Except for a few flashes of pure quality where he almost carved a try from nothing, he just found himself in too many situations where he could only run straight into a line of forwards. Martin Johnsons presence was missed big time!

But nothing should be taken away from Ireland. They played with heart and spirit and hardly made any mistakes. Plus O'Gara was on fire with his kicking game. Really good performance by them.

But every team loses sometime i 'spose ;) hehe.

    GG Ireland

There was a bloody loud mouthed thug in the pub who wouldn't shut up swearing and banging his fists on the tables. Then he threw a tantrum at the end of the game and flipped the table over and hurled his chair towards the bar. What an ass!

I have to say, I felt the same way but what the hell is wrong with some people!?

Sarevok - no chance of that, unfortunately. That will go on for YEARS. The Poms are still can't stop talking about the 1966 World Cup win and that was 38 years ago.

It sucks arse, every time I turn of the TV it is Wilkinson this Wilkinson that. One evening during commercials every god damn one of them was something to do with rugby or Johnny Wilkinson. Even in the newspapers, it is either Jordan or Rugby. Ah well ill get used to it.

All I'm saying is that there is not much chance of Sarevok being able to avoid pictures of Jonny taking that kick for many many many years to come.

If anyone agrees with me that Jason Robinson is over-rated then I won't argue with them. ;)

    Kudos for Ireland! :)

    France is still looking good.

I was surprised to see Italy overpower the Scots like that.

Ah, I love how defensive you get about your rugby team. It makes for interesting conversation. Anyway, I'm hardly provocative. That Jason Robinson thing is about the only thing I say that is even slightly controversial.

Anyway, since then France has beaten Wales so the Six Nations is wide open now. Still three teams with a chance of winning so it should be a great finish!

    Yep well played Oireland.

Not too upset, felt that we've been carrying the unbeaten record and World Cup win, so a loss will help clear the air and let us lose the tension. Championship still depends on England v France and we'd probably have lost that if we'd squeaked a win in this one.

Also good for Rugby when a minnow beats a giant.

Ach!, that's not real rugby!. :D

Aussie rules football (seen it on a channel somewhere) if anything, is for real men!.
I mean, vicious and dangerous are just some of the words that would fit when describing the violence in that sport... :mommy:

Don't know if it has got anything to do with this thread, however. :hmm:

Um, actually, Rugby Union IS 'real' rugby. Australian Rules Football is 'real' Australian Rules Football.

That's almost like saying that badminton is the real tennis!

Anyway, back on topic - well played Ireland.
