Can't remember specifics, but I was almost in a car crash this morning. Some guy had stopped to let the bus go first when the guy behind hit him. We were behind this second guy, and screeched the tires just in time.

Lesson learnt: My dad's a good driver?

I'm sure there are weirder stuff, though.

I am pretty grounded in my way of thinking and a healthy skeptic about things that are not explainable. When I was about 16 years old however I did have something really weird happen to me that I cannot to this day explain. It happened during a school trip to Germany and France. We all had roommates in our hotel and I was boarded with a girl who I had a lot in common with mentally. We got into some pretty deep discussions late into the nights. One late night we were sitting cross-legged on the floor facing each other and suddenly I was still facing her but we were both surrounded by nothing. It only lasted for a few seconds but we were both in shock when it ended because we had both experienced the same thing. When I say surround by nothing I mean exactly that. It was like we were floating in a void.

What have I learned from this experience? That there is more to life than meets the eye.

Weirdest thing? Umm. Must have been a hobo explaining to me how long haired hippies like me (I'm a what now?) ruin our society. While he was urinating in a public park.

I learned not to go into parks after 8 pm. Still talk to hobos though, good people.

I'd have to say the wierdest things that ever happened to me were under the influence of illegal drugs. I don't remember learning any thing from them...

About a year ago I totalled my car while driving to work in the morning. I hit a 200 LB. deer while driving between 55 and 60 mph. My car was screwed ($4800 worth of damage to a '99 Chevy Prizm). Luckily, I was able to drive it about 3 miles back to my house.

The weird part is, when I got home my brother (and housemate) was standing on the front porch, for no apparent reason, at 5:30 in the morning. He works late as a tattoo artist so I did not expect to see him in the morning hours. I pulled into the driveway and he came to the car, verified that I was fine and then explained to me that the reason he was standing on the front porch was because he had just had a very distressing, vivid nightmare that I had wrecked my car and was badly injured. He originally came out to the porch to calm his nerves with a cigarette.

I didn't really learn anything from the experience. I am still skeptical about psychic connections or premonitions or whatever unknown forces could account for the synchronisity of my mishap and his dream...but it was, in the least, a weird coincidence.

Not so weird nunsbane. The same thing happened between my mother and one of my older brothers. Twice. And both times it was a rather serious car crash.

I have had an accident at the same intersection THREE times, all of them being my vehicle getting rear-ended while stopped at the red-light. I now go out of my way to stay away from that intersection.

Nearly choked to death by a candy in a movie theater. Did all the wrong moves too. As I couldn't breathe anymore with the bonbon stuck in my trachea I headed out of the theater and into the men's room. People actually have died exactly the same stupid way. But I managed to cough out the thing just outside the door of the theater.

What I learned from it? To try not to inhale when I eat something and not to head out to a solitary place when starting to choke to death.

Me? A lot of curious occurences have happened. One of those being my subconscious's uncanny ability to warn me in my dreams of stuff - like getting dumped, a death, that kind of stuff.
