Weird TotSC Cult Happening

    [​IMG] Spoilers for Tales of the Sword Coast.

    So, I'm playing BG1 (Tutu) last night, and I promised myself I'd finish Durlag's Tower and all related quests before I went to bed. It's pushing 11:45, and I've JUST gotten back to Ulgoth's Beard with the dagger. The cult is giving me a harder fight than I remembered, and I'm getting worried that I won't be able to finish.

    I get over to the cult cabin, and figure I'll try a little pre-emptive strike (RPing takes a back seat at 11:55 PM), so I toss a few Skull Traps over by the shed where the two archers appear...and this dizzy commoner broad walks over and gets herself killed! :rolleyes:

    Needless to say, my reputation plummets, and Ajantis gives me a talking-too (easily molified, though...that guy's not too bright). ;) I'm determined to go with my new brilliant strategy, though, so I reload and ST the shed again. This time, no commoners die, but the cult is WAY tougher than I remembered, and I lost three party members before I wiped them out.

    It's now 12:20 AM, and I know there's ANOTHER tough battle waiting for me inside, even BEFORE I get to the demon downstairs, so I decide to do something I honestly never, EVER do, and Ctrl-Y all the cult guys upstairs. Down they all go, and I head downstairs, where I decide to Ctrl-Y all the cult goons except for the head chick and the big bad demon. So I do, kill the head chick, and then, for some strange reason...the demon is HELD! :confused: We just walked right up to him and sliced him apart! Weird.

    I THINK what happened is, since I killed all the goons, he tried to possess one of MY guys who was already Held, so then HE got Held...except, we hadn't even attacked him yet, much less killed him. Or maybe he gets Held if all the goons are dead before he fully manifests. I dunno.

    In any case, it was the easiest, CHEESIEST 16000 XP I ever got. :D

    I heard that bugs can happen if you ctrl-y/ctrl-r too much, but i dunno if it's true
