I agree, it did help bigtime. I wish they would've spread the love a little bit, though. Instead of one insane quest with a truckload of cool items plus a lackluster final chapter, they could've evened the two out more. I just wish it would've changed more in the regular game. More kits, new lower-level adventures. Some better NPC's would've been nice. The original NPC's blew for the most part. That would've done wonders for replay value. I believe expansions should add to the 'existing' game, rather than just add an extra ending.

    But anyway......I agree! Good call.

I also agree. One of the things I liked about it was if you took a low to mid-level group through there, your experience went up fairly quickly. Throw in the benefit of some very useful items you can get along the way and your battles in SoA became a bit less difficult. Course the downside to that is having to schlep that stuff along through SoA until ToB kicks in.

True, but that's why the have the bag of holding, right? Especially after the bottomless patch.

What would you say is the soonest you should attempt watchers keep? What level should most of your party be at before trying it?

I suppose it' somehow adjusted to the current level of the team. I don't know that for sure though. Anyway, it's overrated. Melissan is times harder and with some parties impossible to go through - contrary to gorgie.

It does adjust somewhat. I've gone through it at various levels and would occasionally encounter "easier" battles.

I remember going through one time and Odren comments something to the effect that Watcher's Keep is dangerous and maybe I should come back after adventuring a little more. He still let me go in, but I thought it was funny that it actually checked your level beforehand.
