What a f***ing moron! That's worse that the stupid fat woman that sued McDonnalds for "faulty" coffee cups because her fat thighs crushed the cup when she put the coffee between her legs...

It always amazes me how people are always looking to make a profit off of anything possible thing they can. This guy needs to get counter-sued for trying something like that. :grr: :rolling:

Actually, the lawsuit against McD's was reasonable--the coffee was far hotter than it should have been. Caused third (first?) degree burns.

MCD's was only held as being 50% responsible, though.

I wouldn't be surprised if he won, it being so corrupted down there. Come to think of it, I can remember some contestants eating some worms or the like; are over-sea lawsuits accepted? :D

Fear Factor always reminds me of that episode of South Park where Kenny does everything for money, effectively becoming a prositute.

If they show disturbing things on tv, then disturbing things should come back to them.

Reap what you have sowed NBC!! :D

Good for him! I guess I would do the same in his place. There's a chance he'll win this suit, and perhaps be nominated the Stella awards (named so after a resourceful 70-year old lady who deliberately spilled coffee in, notabene, McDs, and then successfully sued them for IIRC $700,000).

No skin off my nose, and perhaps TV stations will get a bit more responsible in what they show.

That's what you get with a lawsystem like that. It's an open invitation for fraudes everywhere.

It's good to know that in New Zealand no judge would stand for such a stupid case, espeically after the telephone interview.

I hope he wins. Maybe Reality TV shall receive a mortal wound. If he wins, it might encourage others to attempt lawsuits against offensive networks. Then said networks will have to run quality programs, like South Park, the Simpsons, and daytime soap operas during 'Prime Time!' Or perhaps more far left/ far right punditry shall replace it. Who knows?

Funny you mention that; I was just in the process of suing those South Park guys. "Big Gay Al" causes me mental anguish.

Oh, and I can't stand how Kenny dies in every episode! They have ripped off his head, driven over, killed with motorsaws, beaten him to death; this is mental torture and has caused me REAL anguish! I want a million as a compensation. :shake:

Nah, just proves that TV cannot be a free media like Internet when it is so tightly regulated. R.I.P.

Yes, and McDs also got caught lying under oath in the case. It's "funny" how corporate fat cats "try to get away with anything to make a profit," and once they are caught, the share holders get stuck with the results of these lawsuits. I guess, "it's no skin off their noses either."

If I am recalling right, there was also a person who sued McDonald's because "their burgers made him fat." Oh, what a world we live in. Isn't it nice?

But back to the Fear Factor thing: I agree with Splunge. He should've changed the channel. After all, the old saying goes "If you cannot take the heat, leave the kitchen," or something to that effect.

If normal people could sue people like this for being lazy, money-grabbing idiots, then this kind of thing would be much rarer.

    Alas.
