Wailing Virgins! Augh!

    Are the Wailing Virgins not the biggest pain in the arse?! Sometimes you don't even see them before their spells hit. Grrr...

    The only good thing is they like to keep their distance so area-effect spells can be the preferred method of their destruction.

    Oh! Which reminds me... Chain Lightning is the absolute best way to decimate your own party accidentally. I was fighting that group of Wailing Virgins around Wylfdene's grave and thought what a great opportunity to finally try it out. They're all bunched up over there, and I'm way over here, it ought to just cycle through them since it hits the nearest thing to it right? Wrong! The damned thing crosses the whole cavern to wreak havoc on my own party! WTF?! :mad:

    Needless to say, I removed Chain Lightning from my memorization list.

    Anyone here have any better luck with Chain Lightning?

    I used it all the time in BG2 and it never hit my party as far as I can remember. Black Isle might have implemented it differently in HoW...

    i hear that BTA. i used Chain Lighting once and ended up frying my own party. i guess i just need better placement.
