    Visions of Mana Introduces Aesh, More Details Provided

    Publisher Square Enix and developer Ouka Studios revealed more details about their upcoming action RPG Visions of Mana. These new details include information about supporting character Aesh, the Elemental Vessels, and more.

    Aesh is the head curator of the Log'grattzo Dark Archives, a position is earned thanks to his vast and varied interests. He is respected by his peers despite his young age and known for his inquisitiveness. He is voiced by Yung-I Chang (Fire Emblem Engage, Lost Judgment, Master Detective Archives: Rain Code) in English and Shinnosuke Tachibana (Final Fantasy XIV, Honkai: Star Rail, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel) in Japanese.

    The Elemental Vessels are artifacts that contain mana from different elements and grant the power to use the associated elementals in combat and during exploration. While exploring, Elemental Vessel open new paths thanks to abilities specific to each elemental. For example, Gnome Shovel operates powerful clay golems able to destroy rock walls, Lumina Lantern generates light that reveals hidden passages, and Shade Sight allows to access areas out of reach thanks to gravity manipulation.

    Players can also use the Elemental Vessels to change a character's class, changing their stats and granting access to different skills and weapon types. Each character has a different class depending on the Elemental Vessel wielded and changes appearance accordingly. For example, Gnome Shovel grant access to skills reducing the damage taken, Lumina Lantern can reflect attacks back to enemies, and Shade Sight gives the ability to restrict foes' movements depending on their size. A character's affinity with an element can be improved by making them go through Elemental Plots, which are unlocked each time a new Elemental Vessel is acquired.
