Vertical Transitions / Gopher's Grappling Gear

    In the upcoming module,, I plan to have a cliff or something similar, which the character will have to climb up in order to explore or retrieve an item from. (Mountain Eagle eggs or something)

    Now;
    1) Is it possible to make vertical area transitions, up a cliff face for example? I have tried in the toolset, but so far when playing the game it just 'squashes down' to the ground. I've read about it also.

    2) is it possible to make Conversation Files with Area Transitions? For example;

    The player clicks on the cliff, it comes up with:
    - there is a steep cliff, youw ill need gear to climb it.
    |___+ climb
    |___+ Leave

    or should I simply make it a ActionSpeakString script? Speak one string when you have the gear ("You climbed the cliff!") and one when not ("You need gear to climb here, like a rope.")

    Any way to do this?

    Not sure about point 1, i would expect that without some serious hacking with a hack pack you wouldnt be able to. Possibly creating lots of invisible objects directly under the PC's feet?

    Ok point 2 is easy. Use this tutorial - "Transporting a PC from a conversation" i've used it in my own modules and it worked fine. Also try the rest of the site as it has some of the best tutorials i've encountered - http://anthill.echidna.id.au/projects/NeverwinterNights/

    Hope that helped.

    BTW tell us when this modules nearly done cos i want to play a good module for NWN (might motivate me to actually finish the game, even though i have massive slow-down).
