[IMG] I'm exceeding (or at least running) the game at all it's minimum requirements, except for my 256MB RAM, and I've already got the game res. set on 800x600x32 and STILL it lags, and loading times take like 15 minutes. It's getting reeeeeally tiring to play the game as I'm still at the very start (just got past the tutorial) and it takes so damn long to load. Does anybody know how I can speed these loading times up? I wouldn't mind sacrificing sound or graphics quality if it came to that.

Get more ram, you won't believe the difference it makes. I upgraded from 512 to 1000 and the difference was incredible. Have you got the latest patch? What's your video card and processor?

    I've got:

    Pentium 4 CPU 2.40 GHz
    2.42 GHz
    256MB RAM

    NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400 64MB RAM

not very good but I can't really afford upgrades right now.. howmuch would an upgrade from 256 to 1000 RAM be anyway?

If you can drop down to 16 bit color instead of 32, you'll get a large boost, as well.

how? when i check the video options, 32 is the only one that i see available.. also, what's a text editor and where can i get one? A forum for this game said that I could use a text editor to remove the autosave, thus saving a lot of loading time. It's getting really irritating playing these load times, I'm thinking of just chucking it and playing the Dark Side in KotOR til the sequel comes out :D

Text editor is notepad; comes with Windows :)

I'd say your RAM and video card are your bottlenecks. The GF2MX is very outdated (4 generations old now). Upgrading your RAM is pretty cheap; I bought a gig of RAM for about 300 dollars Australian (~250 US).
