As the title says, none of my three USB ports are working - as in, they don't identify that anything is in them (my mouse, iPod, printer, flash drive all fail to be recognized), so I can't use any of them, which is frustrating. Is there a fix to this?

Your USB driver might be corrupt, or if the ports you're using are connected to the Mobo via a daughter card/cable, you might need to re-seat the card/cable.

Go in to your Device Manager and then click on the Universal Serial Bus Controller icon and see if anything has a red 'X' or a '?' on it.

IIRC, you can re-install the controller to fix some common USB issues...but don't take my word for it. :bad: :rolling:

2 of the USB things have ? on them. They said that the device was not working properly (no ****...) because it had a problem. (Again, no ****.)

This is great... I don't know why, but I have had problems with this computer since day one. Thanks HP and Windows Vista.

    Edit:
Okay, so after I restarted the computer, they are working again...

I didn't do that initially because I am loathe to restart my computer, which seems to crash everytime I do so.

The keyboard I am going to buy myself has a USB hub. There was a customer complaint on the product that the USB ports on that hub don't get enough power when you plug in multiple USB devices. It wouldn't be something like that, wouldn't it?

I don't think so, because I have had three devices plugged in before with no problem. What happened was I came back from lunch, turned on my computer, and one of the USB ports wouldn't recognize my mouse. So I tried my iPod. No luck. I figured it was okay, I have two more, so I used them, and two days later, they both just stopped working. But after a restart they were fine. *Shrugs* quirky Vista, I guess...
