Uploading pictures??

    I've seen folks here use sites like Photobucket to host screenshots and pictures of things. How do you do that? Keep in mind, I'm computer stupid, so easy-to-understand words. :bigeyes:

    You go to one of the various image-hosting sites, sign up, and follow the instructions they send you. That's about it.

    That would depend on how much space we have on the servers Barmy and judging by the upgrades continually going on I'd say it don't seem like there's much

    Image tags are intentionally disabled here (this is a decision that goes back years, along with no signatures). But even if they were enabled, you'd still need some place to actually put the pictures before they'd show in your posts, since our current message board software doesn't allow attachments. So it's also a technical limitation.

    Space is in relatively short supply on the server at the moment, but that's not the real issue. SPS account holders will be getting their own ftp accounts with publicly accessible space (50MB or more) in the next couple of days, so they'll be able to put any pictures or files there. Anyone else will have to make do with what they can get for free.

    10 bucks of 50 megs and 1 gig of bandwidth per year isn't much, IMO, although the prices are much worse in other countries. My host, Suncomet.com, is pretty fair when it comes to pricing and service.

    You do not get free webspace from your ISP? I suppose every ISP has their own policies. But I thought it was quite common. My ISP provides 50 MB, which is enough to host images or some other small things.
