so I did the kuan ton prince blood quest then I figured I better rush back to the matron mother or she might get pissed. so I did not do the other possible quests, not that I was looking forward to fighting mind flayers :) anyway could I have done all three (with necessary rest between them) and still completed the underdard successfully and has anyone actually gone back into the underdark to try to do those dungeons?

You can do all three. After I was told to go get the blood of the lizard prince, I did all three (flayers, beholders, and lizards). I brought back the blood, along with an eye stalk and somnething else Matron accepted. The whole ritual thing went smoothly, so I don't believe it is timed, even though she tells you to hurry. I don't see why you couldn't go back into the Underdark afterward to do these areas. I went back to kill the Silver Dragon, to get the blood for the flesh, and while the Underdark was still accessable, the Dragon was gone!

[IMG] Did all three, plus all the little quests inside the Drow city (free the slaves, pocket dimension etc) within the 3 days you are allowed.

Once you leave the Underdark your disguise goes so you won't get back to the Drow city but you should be able to get to Mindflayerville and Beholdertown.

Or you could do what I did. Clean out the three caves before you enter drow city. That way you can take all the time you want.

Yeah, I just stumbled onto both the beholder tunnels and the flayer city by accident. Man were both those areas a shock. I wanted to do everything before I went to see the silver dragon just in case I couldn't do them again. The mind flayers were wickedly hard and I had to use a LOT of stategy to best them, though the end was a let down. The Beholders would have been very hard without the shield of balduran and cloak of mirrors. Even with both, I still lost Minsc once, and I lost several characters fighter the illithids.
