    YEAH, BABY!

    That's right. Uber.

    Armegeddon.

    00ARMBL2
    00ARMCH

One's the Uber Chainmail, and the other is the Armegeddon 2002.

And the description reads, "For critical path testing only. Do not use for play balance testing, or you will be abducted by aliens and probed with cold instruments."

I was looking for a Killsword, and saw that description, and was like Wh000T!!

The Chainmail only adds like 10 or 11 to your AC, but I'm betting it works like Imoen's Belt. You're immune to all status changes, and cannot be killed (i.e. health to zero).

The Sword seems like it is scripted to do 500 base damage, so slightly under the 1500 a Killsword does.

Just a little FYI, for all those other hardcore cheaters out there. Thank the Gods BIS didn't let me down. I was expecting to have to import, but they've already come through.

So, am I the first one to find this stuff, or just the first one to actually talk about it?

So, that's what it does! When I wrote my item code guide I saw the code for it and wondered what those did. I haven't played IWD2 in a while (been meaning too though, had other projects including writing the item code guide.) Anyway, I'm glad someone has answered the question as to what it does (and I wasn't about to ask either, a pride thing...)

The chainmail is pretty cool. IIRC, it only adds +10 to your AC and only allows 1 or 2 points for your dex bonus, but you are immune to most magic damage (and poison I think-not sure). You are under the effects of death ward, haste, and freedom of movement. The armor gives you one extra attack per round, and though I do not know the exact number it adds to your BAB (+10 or +15 something like thatmy Pali's normal BAB was like +35 and with the uber chain it was +50 iirc). You also regenerate hitpoints very quickly (like 5 hit points per turn). That is about it for stats that I recall, but if you like cheating or if you want to make HoF mode into a cake walk then the armegeddon chain and sword are just the ticket.

By the way, the sword does something like 20d20 damage, plus some extra fire damage, and it makes HoF enemies into little piles of monster goo in about 2 seconds...

If I'm not mistaken, here are the stats for the Armageddon items:

    Armageddon Blade 2002 (Longsword)
    ---------------------
    Damage: 20d20 +5
Damage Type: Slashing or Bludgeoning, same as target's highest resistance
    Attack Bonus: +5
    Enchantment: +5
    Critical Hit: 18-20 x2
    Special: (~10%) +2d10 Fire damage
Special: (~10%) Fortitude save or Slow target
    Special: Adds Resistances:
    - Fire: +20
    - Acid, Cold, Poison, Elect: +4
    Weight: 1 lb.

Armageddon Chain Mail of the Tester
    -----------------------------------
    Armor AC bonus: +10
Max Dex Bonus to Ac: +2
    Armor Check Penalty: -4
    Arcane Spell Failure: 30%
    Weight: 10 lb.
    Specials:
    - Wearer under the effect of Haste, Freedom of Movement, Death Ward and Regeneration (5 HP per second)
    - Attack Bonus: +15
    - STR, DEX, CON, WIS: Base score set to 26 (can stack with bonuses from other items or spells)
    - Saving Throws: +20
    - Resistances: Acid, Elect, Fire, Poison, Magic: +100
    - Spell Resistance: set to 50
    - Damage Reduction: 149,000,000/+5
    - Knowledge Arcana skill set to 100

The Armor is truly fantastic :D That's my dream armor, although I'd never wear it while really playing, it can be fun for a while.

The sword behaves strangely as far as damage type is concerned. From my testing, It can deal either Slashing or Bludgeoning damage, and it chooses the type of damage that the victim resists best. If the "victim" has neither resistance, it prefers slashing them. :)
I've only seen it rarely deal fire damage, so the probability must be low there. Same thing for the Slowing effect. Perhaps there are other effects with even lower probability that I didn't encounter.
