Will any rogue stone do to get into the twisted rune (as I understand that is what the 'unending blackness' next to the lich lair in the bridge disctrict is called) or does it require a specific one and if so can hint where it is (pref. not spoil totally).
Some info on twisted rune would also be welcome!

It was originally meant to be only the one from the guarded compund in the temple district, but yes unless you've got a mod that re-activates this link, any one will do.

I'll not tell you much about what you'll meet, just be prepared. Very well prepared.

Yeah, cast everything you can, get some +4 +5 weapons get a Daystar or cast Sunray, do some death ward, skull traps work fine. Also have some resurrections handy.Um, have good tanks first attack the big thing, cast some warding whips, breaches to mages, oh cast protection from evil.
Hm what can i say more, ah yes have some restorations, chaotic commands and negative plane protections.
    And you'll need luck.
(Okay maybe i have exaggerated a bit but...)

Don't worry. It's nothing hard. my party went there unrested, nearly out of spells (as always) and survived. Just have a good tactic and don't rely on scripts.

I always wonder at people who claim to have wiped out really powerful groups of enemies with such ease. It took me half a dozen attempts before I beat the Twisted Rune and even then half my party was dead.

Did you surf the internet for tactics beforehand or something because I seriously doubt an unprepared party with very few spells left would last long against the likes of Shangalar and co.

Yeah, i don't believe it too, btw i wrote these facts for core rules difficulty.
If you play in very easy, you can probably beat Firkraag in 1 or 2 tries.
This battle is VERY hard and you can't just get it through with magic-missiles.

For me, the only danger was the lich and vampire. I kept trying but failed. Then I remember that I had not tried with the mace of disruption. It was really easy afterwards, with the lich and vampire down within around two hits each. Actually to me thinking, using a few certain items/weapons and/or casting a few certain spells can always make a lot of differents.

    Another question here:
I can't seem to get into the room where they are. Yes, I do have a rogue stone, and I've tried all of them. Must be seven of them...but I cannot get in. It just says taht the door is locked

I assume you've found traps and unlocked doors?

On unlabeled buildings in the Southwest Bridge district?

If you have then ignore me.

This is probably going to sound a bit obvious, but have you tried picking the door open?
