Tweaks? Is it possible?

Discussion in 'Neverwinter Nights (Classic)' started by TriLleX The Slayer, Jun 22, 2002.

  1. I am one of the guys with a low end computer so I was waiting for a tweak guide. But perhaps some of you already know a few tweak settings ? Because when I get out in the City, that stupid pop-up with Virtual memory and pagefile blah blah pops up. Is there a way to make it not doing that ? Or perhaps even lower the memory NWN uses ?

Try with lowering graphics and effects.

Also check if inside INI file there is a Virtual Memory "slider". That should be noted inside manual or readme file if exists.

In the game options you can turn off pretty much all fancy effects... Do that and play in 800x600 and you should be fine. Anyway, list your system specs so we can see what kind of machine you're running it on.

  4. I run at the lowest graphic quality and resolution, turned all the effects off and stuff. But it runs smooth, the only thing that is wrong is that stupid virtual memory thingy.

    Here's my comp stats:
P2-333 MHz, 96 MB Ram, Geforce 2 GTS, A random working sound card.

    I use Win2k with SP2

And of course everything has got the newest drivers except my mobo card. But I can't seem to find anyone that's never than the one I got.

[IMG] Well since you're playing it on a computer way below the sytem specs (450 for CPU and 128 for RAM), be thankful you can run it at all. Time to upgrade...

  6. Yeah, I'm planning on a update as soon as I get some money. But I figured out how to stop the Virtual memory thingy. I just increased the Virtual Pagefile overall size. It works fine now, but a bit lagged. But it works !
