Troubles with mods

    Okay, I wanted to mod up BG 1, so I threw in:

    All NPCs at the Beginning
    The Vault
    BG1 CoM Forge/Upgrade Mod
    BG 1 Adventure Pack
    Improved BAMs

    And there seem to be a few problems.

    1. Some of the items don't work as well as they should. A few of the weapons when in the inventory are difficult to put in the right slot, meaning when I have a certain sword and hold it over the inventory, the box below doesn't light up, the box three spaces over does. (Sorry if that doesn't make any sense).

    Also, one of my weapons is supposed to add 20hp to my maximum hitpoints, which it does. The thing is is that when you unequip the sword, it takes away 20hp that is injured. Basically, when I equip and unequip my sword, or switch between weapons, it heals me by 20hp, and that is cheating.

    2. This problem comes from the Improved BAMs mod. Partiucular peices of armor when picked up in the inventory screen are horribly distorted. I would like to fix that.

    Those are all I can think of right now. But seriously SOS!!!! :aaa:

    Just wondering do you have BG + ToSC + official patch (if needed)installed or just BG??

    Sometimes certain mods are more compatible with BG + ToSC then just BG, also make sure that you have the latest versions of the mods, I'm not sure about All NPCs at the Beginning but the rest are in WeiDU format for sure so any non-WeiDU mod must be installed before any WeiDU mod.......but if this is not the case then I can't really say what is wrong

    I have played with The Vault, BG1 CoM Forge/Upgrade Mod and BG 1 Adventure Pack and I haven't really experienced too many problems but yeah there were times when some items wouldn't work too well in inventory (but for the most part it was okay)

    In terms of the sword that adds 20 hp, you might want to open the specific item file (.itm) with IEEP or DLTCEP to see what it actually does (it would help if you could also open something that also adds hit points like the Helm of Balduran helm07.itm and uses this as a reference)

    Lastly you could go the respective modding communities and post your problem there or contact the authors of the mod by email:

    A great help actually. I have BG + ToSC + official patch, and I did put them in the correct order. I'll try doing what you said to fix the sword, but I think I'll just uninstall improved BAMs rather then try to fix that. Thanks eh.

    Has anyone noticed that you can't get to Ulgoth's Beard when you have tutu installed? It's really bugging me.

    One thing you could do is to use the cheat console to move the party to Ulgoth's Beard, and instead of ARxxxx use the FWxxxx designation

    It's still somewhat of a hassle but at least you get access.
