    There are rumours flying around that Troika, the developer of Temple of Elemental Evil, is closing down for good, spurred first by this e-mail forwarded anonymously to NMA:

    Heh, if you could go you might get yourself some Troika relic... it'd probably be worth a trip. It's not completely certain yet whether that message is true, though.

    Sad, because there are so few RPG developers out there (and none, I think, that had quite so much as potential as Troika), but none of their games (well, no comment on ToEE...) managed to draw me in.

    Well, hopefully Obsidian will stop making Bio sequels soon and do something reminiscent of Black Isle, then they can fill the gap of the 'hardcore' CRPG developer...
