    Hello Everyone,

This is my first post and I apologize if this question has been answered somewhere else. I am currently playing Baldurs Gate Trilogy for the first time. I play on an older PC running windows 2000. Playing Baldurs Gate is the one and only reason that I still own this old clunker PC. I recently purchased a netbook running windows XP and I would like to transfer my game to the new system so I can finally get rid of the old computer. I also have a Mac, which could be of limited use in this process.

My question is, what, in everyones opinion, is the best way of doing this since the netbook doesn't have an optical drive? Here's what I've come up with so far:

    1) Buy a 16 gig flash drive and copy my entire black isle/baldurs gate 2 directory to the drive, then transfer it to the new computer and keep my fingers crossed that it wil run.

    2) Buy an external CD rom and install everything from scratch on the new computer (I have all 10 original CDs- BG, ToSC, BG2, ToB) then install BGT.

    3) Make .iso images of all the CDs on my mac, then copy then one by one to the new computer and install everything from scratch in this way.

Are any of these ways going to work? is there a better way?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, I'd just like to get this transfer done as quickly as possible so I can dump my old machine. By the way, this forum has been a great resource for me as a Baldurs Gate addict. Thanks in advance to everyone.

I'd buy an external notebook hard drive (doesn't require extra power, so you just plug it in via an USB port like a USB key with much higher storage capacity), then transfer ISOs you'd make on the Mac to that and then install from the ISOs.

Of course, depending on how often you'd be doing transfers like this, buying an external DVD drive might make more sense.
