We've received word of a free online text based game based on the Forgotten Realms, which some of you might be interested in checking out. Here's the word from Malakwee:

Hello... I am new to this site and am unsure how i can approach (not to advertise but to attract, since our community is not-for-profit) people to come and join our community at an online, text based game that is based a lot on the system that AD&D started.

It is a hobby that has been ongoing for me as a player for more than a decade and still has me coming back for more, simply because it is the closest thing to AD&D Forgotten Realms real time game (albeit being text based) that I have come across yet...

Most of the players who are there are fans of AD&D. However, with the coming of GuI based online games, our community is losing the pbase we once enjoy and we are seeking new recruits to come and join us at our online community...

If it is possible to place up a link to our website it would be much appreciated. I believe our community could provide a ton of fun to all fans of the Forgotten Realms especially, and AD&D fans generally.

And finally, just to inform again, our community is absolutely free to join. And we would welcome more people to enrich our online text based world of the Forgotten Realms.

If that sounds like something you'd like to see for yourself, try it out.

Eh - if I ever feel in the MUD mood again I might look - though I tend to get tired of MUDs pretty damn fast - and don't really have any time for one anyway...
