I will like to know some of the combos that are being used in BG2, the combos can be anything, physical or magical.

My favourite combo is for wizards, use the combinations of web(level 2), great malison(level 4), spider spawn(level
    4) and spell sequencer(level 7). This combo can deal with any monster except spiders and unique monsters (dragons,
liches, elder orb and powerful golems).

I'm a fan of triple fireballs, or triple lightning bolts. Massive amounts of damage, with a low casting time. MUHAHAHAHA!

[IMG] When you know the enemy is in the dark area in front of you, cast all the area effect spells you know then attack. Did this with that buttwipe Black Dragon that offers to leave you naked by the time I attacked he was near death ;) Dragons are a Dying breed...

[IMG] Here is a combo I often use in my Spell Trigger:
Greater Malison + Ice Storm + Chaos
One advantage is that it is good against many different opponents. Ice Storm has no save so it's often good against spell casters.

    Another general spell combo:
Greater Malison + Web + Cloudkill (or better) + Stinking Cloud is nasty, but probably overkill. ;)

Project Image or Simulacrum give incredible opportunities:
    - Scrolls (and other stuff) in the quick item slots can be used by your "copy".
The possibilities are staggering: Time Stop, Wail of the Banshee... you name it.
In the Underdark you can get a few mind control collars that goes in the quick slots. Those will last forever this way!

[IMG] I like to cast web and then Death Fog or something like that. Cloud Kill or whatever. It works on invisible enemies or those hiding in shadows. Oh yeah, how do you
    load a sequencer?

    [IMG] Sequencer:

You cast the sequencer spell, then you get to "load" it by picking from the spells you have memorized.
After that the sequencer is available to use as another special ability.

Back to the basics: triple (or double) magic missiles to wear off iron skins work great

    best combo:

    Myself
with a sorcerer and wothout the cap remover
    its just easy like that!!!

  9. [IMG] Earl Grey has given the best tips so far.

I suggest substituting emotion for the area effect cloud spells. That allows you to send in troups without them taking damage. Emotion is a more powerful substitute for web and other group-effect spells, but since it's harder to locate than web and so forth, people develop habits that are hard to break.

PS I'm starting over with a sorcerer and a thief-assassin as my core party, and I'll dual the thief to something else perhaps. I'm adding in 2 NPC's at a time to do their quests. I'll be using LESS not more combo spells, since I'm not wasting a slot on sequencer spells. I'll just buy scrolls.
