When i finally had to fight Irenicus in the tree of life i noticed that he was so protected that i just couldn't hit him, by the way all my party was slayed almost instantly, so i ran away and put my party at a safe distance.

I read somwhere that a Nishru could do the job for me, so i summoned 3 of them and sent them to kill him, they were killed by a death spell, after that i decided to summon some skeletons, and they were inmune to Irenicus spells, after a time they started doing some big damage and then he died. All too easy.

I haven't read this solution anywhere, so i thought that it would be interesting to post it here where everybody can read it.

    Good luck to all.

Before you kill the last parasite at the tree of life, you could also put some traps round Increnius,he won't attack you untill you kill the parasite. It's a little annoying because you can't sleep at the tree of life, but if you know the bug of Yoshimo...

There are a number of cheese tactics available for your battle against Jon atop the Tree of Life.

Something I like to do is have my fighter/mage, wearing the Cloak of Mirroring, stand right next to Jon while everybody else runs away. My protagonist then casts Spell Immunity: Conjuration (Maze). He then simply absorbs everything Jon has to offer.

Yes, it's cheese. Yet I don't mind doing it because ...

I also download the Improved Irenicus via the Tactics Module. No cheese here, a fun battle that truly restores Irenicus' battle as the final villain of SofA.

Move weaklings aside and send a paladin in. Goodbye, Jon-jon.

And I don't necessarily mean some Inquisitor that could kill him in one spit.

I used a protection from Magic scroll on my berserker (I'm playing with a party I designed myself) and I put the cloak of mirroring, the Ring of Gaxx, the ring of Regeneration, Carsomyr, and a magic resistance amulet on my Cavalier, not to mention buffing the snot out of him. With 70% magic resistance, Carsomyr blazing, and my Berserker smashing away with Crom Faeyr, Jon didn't really last all that long. The rest of my party just stayed well back, cast things like Warding Whip, Breach, True Sight and summoning spells, and Jon went down fairly easy.

I find the easiest way to kill Jon is have my mages cast peirce shield, pierce magic and those types of spells, and of corse true sight (I can't live with out that) and then have all my fighters, theives, rangers etc charge.
That kills him with in a minute or two. It is also helpful to cast the priest 4 level spell Death Ward on your PC to save him from finger of death.

My Viconia equipped with magic resistances stuff had a magic resistances of 95%. The only spell that onces in a while could hurt her was magic missile. I moved the whole party away except for Viconia and waited for Irenicus to run out of spells than my whole party rushed him to death.
