    Never use internet forums to solicit advice about your love life. In particular, never use an internet forum devoted to fantasy roleplaying to solicit advice about your love life.

    If you feel the need to do so regardless, the proper way to go about doing so is to ask advice, wait for the respondents to form a consensus, and do the opposite of whatever it is that they suggest.
