Well... you can reload from a previous illithid city save if you have one, and try to get through without resting more than once or so. Or if you happen to have a save before entering the city, you could wander over to the Kuo-Toa dungeon instead (since it's much shorter and easier).

I'm pretty sure the game auto-saves when you enter the Illithid dungeon, and at no time during it, which means you -should- have a safe save outside the dungeon.

When Phaere appears to you and says you're out of time, I'm pretty sure you're locked out of Ust Natha for good. I honestly doubt Sola will join unless you've completed the entirety of Ust Natha, but I don't have enough experience with that mod to know for sure.

Perhaps you can find out the global variable for how much time you have left for Phaere's quest, and reset it, although knowledge of which var it is, is beyond me.

    Good luck :)

I usually do the Kuo-Toa lair, the Illithid city and the Beholder lair all before going to Ust Natha, which saves me a lot of grief later on.

If you don't have any save game before the Illithid lair, the best thing you can do (other than playing around with variables) is to rush through the Illithid city as quickly as you can, which is very possible if you know exactly what needs be done.

It's kind of difficult for me to tell, but I think punching CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("udPhaTimerOn","GLOBAL",2) into your console should stop the timer from ever triggering. If for some reason your autosave has been overwritten, try it.

I'm not to keen to mess with my variables. I don't have any saves before. the only thing i can think of is dropping my party, improved hasting my main char and finishing the quest. then speak to my party before they spoke to me about leaving. i'll let you know how it goes.

    EDIT:

it worked. /tries to but can't stop grinning

that was close and defenately taught me a lesson.
    :D :D :D :D :D :D this is how i feel right now!
