Thieves in Spellhold

    What kind of thief is neccesary to go into Spellhold with? (I.E, can I get by with Nalia and potions? I perhaps improvidently multiclassed Yoshimo--he'll be very nice once he gets enough fighter levels to reactivate his thief levels, but until then no luck)

    Nalia should be OK; there's not much in Spellhold that I can recall needing a thief for.

    As for Yoshimo - I gather you mean dual-classed, not multi? Also - dualling him isn't really necessary. But don't worry - it'll work itself out.

    First time huh ;)

    Dont worry about traps till you get to the spellhold. If Nalia has not already been part of your party for a long time then dont take her specifically for spellhold. You do remember whom you are going to rescue dont you?

    I agree, Yoshimo is the way to go.

    Even if his Thief levels aren't activated yet, there's a whole lot of experience in Spellhold, and you'll have a good enough thief soon enough! :)

    Yes, it is the first time:). I'd been trying to minimize the number of NPCs I used, so I could have more replay value (so far Nalia, Minsc, Jaheira, Yoshimo, Imoen, Viconia, Aerie(for a short while), and Valygar(saving the Planar Sphere for when Imoen's back).

    As it happened, in today's gameplay Nalia got kidnapped by Isaea and I picked up Jan and found him amusing, so I brought him along. So this question is moot. Thanks, though.

    must be the first time, I agree with Splunge, there is not enough in spell hold to need a high level thief and your gonna get Imoen soon enough soooo, I'd stay with Nalia.
