    *spoiler*

There is one strange thing whenever I play the Underdark.

I leave the cave of Adalon (the silver dragon), neatly transformed into a drow... now, I am heading towards the city gates of Ust Natha and I come across a single dark elf (hostile = red circle), who doesnt attack nor does he wish to talk. All that he does is running towards the City, with a speed that must be twice that of my hasted NPC's. He's is out of sight in less than a second and never heard of again, I think.

What is this about? Has anyone else experienced this?

The only thing that I suspect is that he is somehow related to Jarlaxe (sp) - the drow rogue, for he knows about my identity.

I just assumed that he was from the drow party that jumps you when crossing the bridge. Other then that I have no idea.

A drow city without scouts seems like Baldur's Gate without flaming fist officers. So in my opinion it's a neat addition of reality made by bioware. Only strange thing is that he's hostile.

[IMG] Not really. A hostile guard, IIRC if you attack him then more Drow are summoned to attack, but I'm not sure, only tried it once.

I dont think its so strange...

Knowing the drow, anyone not within their city walls, or bearing any known house insignia will be considered fair game :D

I usually kill him for the experience. That is, if I have a good thief who can hide in shadows (so he doesn't see you and run away) and assassinate him in one backstab.

Nice idea. Next time I will have Jan backstab him.

Just asked you people about this matta because I thought it possible that there might be a hidden... something about it. A plot or story which I missed. Most of the times I rush through the Underdark - want to get out of there.
