The protagnists special abilities

Discussion in 'BG2: Shadows of Amn (Classic)' started by antoine, Jun 18, 2001.

I was helping a friend out with BG2 a while ago and I saw that he had totally other special abilities then my BG2 characters.
    My protagnist always has:
    2x Cure light wounds
    2x Slow poison
    2x Draw upon holy might
His character had only 1 cure light wounds and 1 slow poison, but instead of that he had 1 Larloch minor drain and 1 Horror.

Does this have anything to do with class or alignment or something like that and what are the other possible special abilities?

It has something to do with your alignment.

    LG: 2xCLW, 2xSP, 2xDUHM
    NG: 2xCLW, 2xSP, 2xDUHM
    CG: 2xCLW, 2xSP, 1xDUHM, 1xVT
    LN: 2xLMD, 1xH, 1xSP, 1xDUHM, 1xVT
    TN: 2xCLW, 1xH, 1xSP, 2xDUHM
    CN: 2xCLW, 2xH, 1xDUHM, 1xVT
    LE: 1xCLW, 1xLMD, 1xH, 1xSP, 1xDUHM, 1xVT
    NE: 2xLMD, 1xH, 1xSP, 1xDUHM, 1xVT
    CE: 2xLMD, 2xH, 2xVT

This is if you create a new character in bg2, if you import one from bg1, I think they differ depending on how many abilities you character from bg1 got (if he had like 3, he might get somthing different)

Well, i usually play lawfull good so that explains why i always have 2x CLW 2x SP 2x DUHM

but my friend played NG and he had 1xHorror 1x CLW 1x LMD 1x SP and 2x DUHM

so how do you explain that?

[IMG] Lokken's list is not complete!
It is just one possible outcome, but each alignment can have many different special ability combinations.
I think it is random - within some limits.
