[IMG] I wonder how many people from South America are here, it can't be just me, or can?
    Hope to find out soon.
By the way, la Copa America isn't like Euro, first, there are too many poor countries, the level of skill in players is overpowered to some teams (Brazil, Argentina, Colombia) - the other ones have skilled players but just very few - and sometimes (is my opinion) is boring to see some matches because the lack of good game.
Anyway, I just wanted to know if there are more "sudamericanos" por aqui...
    Saludos

I wish i could add something to this thread, i love talking about football, but my knowledge on South American football is a bit rusty.

    How's Uruguay doing lately ?

I had never even heard of Copa America until now. I can talk about the Argentine Pumas team but that's rugby and therefore off-topic.

Brazil is the only soccer team that I am even remotely familiar with at the moment.

Since I can't stand all this hype about Brazil, I'll have to say "Go Argentina". Of course if one of the underdogs manages to do what we did in Euro, it will be even better.

Man! I saw one of the best individual goals of the year in one of those Copa games on the news. One guy kept the ball in the air for three touches around a sea of defenders then turned and volleyed into the top corner. Amazing skills.

I see that someone changed the "name of the post", well, looks better, no?
Well, Uruguay, they aren't playing well, even in the... ejem, lack of english, eliminatorias para el mundial (worl cup clasification playoff?).
By the way, la Copa America is the oldest tournament played by national teams.
One of the boring things southamerican players have is that they spend too much time falling appart in the field: one gets barely kicked and spends 3 or 5 minutes like he was almost killed, then the referee let in some "magical healers" and there you have another 2 minutes, sometimes they are take out of the field and you see them in deep pain but once they got out they just jump out and ask to get in again, pathetic; I just want some new rule to let those players out of the game for 5 minutes so they can "heal perfectly".
Anyway, there are some great games, some very boring, but in the end, always you know you'll see Argentina, Brasil or just another team in the finals; this year, Brasil ain't have they "first team" (Ronaldo, ROberto Carlos, etc) so we may see another team in the finas.

Can anyone tell me who it was that scored that amazing goal?

EDIT: It might have been Roberto Placios for Peru against Bolivia.

2-1 though, they made me sweat! lol.

What a goal by Diego Forlan though, wonderful strike.
