[IMG] Ok, we've all been there. That age in a young persons life when the opposite sex doesn't have cooties anymore. And when that happens, we sometimes do some crazy things.
So what are some of the craziest things you've done for love? What is the most outrageous thing you've done to get a date, or had done to you?
Don't post anything cutsie and romantic. That's for another post. http://www.sorcerers.net/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=7&t=004910
I'm talking about things that made everyone else around you laugh. Were your buddies never let you hear the end of it.

Oh, the horror. My girlfriend and I were sitting in our english class a few years back. Y'see, she wasn't my girlfriend at the time, but to everyone except me, apparently, the fact that I liked her was ridiculously obvious. I thought [and still think] she was awesome. She was beautiful, cynical, had a twisted sense of humor, could belch louder than me, and was lazy. Basically, she was something a nerd, just like me. We were really good friends at the time that this happened, had very closely matching personalities, liked doing the same things, thought the same things were funny, said the same things at the same time, etc. But of course, as a nerd, I was far too chicken to ask her out or anything, I just figured she wanted to be friends.

So then on this fateful day in my english class she turns to me and says, "So when are you going to tell me?" To which I stare blankly in non-response. "When are you going to tell me you like me?" Elaborating, she wanted to know when I would get the guts to ask her out. My jaw just about plowed through my desk. She had been waiting for me to take the first step, then, growing impatient, forced the issue. When my friends all heard, they wouldn't leave me alone.

She had been forced to coerce me to ask her out because I was too much of a chicken to do it unless I knew she liked me too. I'm ok with that though, and thankful she did, because I might well have been too scared to say anything, no matter how much I liked her. Then we wouldn't be attending the same university, planning our future together, enjoying the best days of our lives.
