Well, after getting 6 chain letters in a row from one of my gullible friends, I decided to write this:

The Life Of A Chain Letter

Hi there, I am the thing you hate most about email, well, besides advertisements, I am a chain letter. My name is Spamy, and I want to tell you about my life, and the suckers that keep me alive.

I was born just as many of my friends were: some lonely soul felt like sending his would be friends an email. But unfortunately, he had nothing to write, so he made up a lie. For the entirety of my life I boasted that Bill Gate was sharing his fortune, and that if you sent me to 20 of your friends, Bill would give you $25,000. To make people believe me, I said that IE, and AOL somehow could track me, and who I was sent to...now how is that possible? If that actually worked, hackers everywhere would suck Bill Gates totally dry within seconds.

My best friend, Spambert, spent all of his life boasting that if you sent him to 15 of your friends that you would magically receive $250 in gift certificates to Applebee's Restaurant The way he kept gullible people from asking questions was that he claimed that Applebee's wanted to gain popularity in the more rural areas of the U.S. and somehow they could find out if you got the letter and sent it to your friends.

One way you can easily check to see if you are reading me, or one of my friends, is to look at the end of the message. You know you have a chain letter if it says: "Now make a wish, and if you send this to 10 of your friends the whish will come true in ten days".

By the time we usually get to your inbox, someone has dramatically changed us along the way. But for some reason, people still forward me to all their friends. The life we live isn't enjoyable, so please, the next time you get me, or one of my friends in your inbox, just think rationally about the offer we boast. 90% of the time it is too good to be true, even if the person who sent it to you swears it is the truth. The best thing you can do for us is deleting us. Please end our miserable lives!!!
    ******************

Now, if you are fed up with chain letters as I am, copy this post in to an email and send it to all those people who always send them to you. :rolling:

I think this letter of yours is very counter-productive, since it's nothing more but another chain letter to pass around.

Hmm...maybe, but this one will hopefully help stop other chain letters. :rolling:

The life of a chain letter... ends in my email box. I always delete them and I never forward them to anyone.

Even if I'll get $25000 from Bill Gates, have bad luck all year, be hermit for the rest of my life, or have the first-born in my family taken away. (All of which I've been "offered" before except for the Bill Gates one which I just cited from Kitrax... that last one was sent sometime around Passover last year btw)
