[IMG] The subject line says it all, doesn't it?

I have spent the last few days trying to make our website look good in all browsers, and during this time I have come to some frightening conclusions regarding browser developers and their crappy products.

I will spare you the technical details, if you're interested I can mail them to you, but I will tell you how this will affect our site.

First of all I will not do any more to make the site look better in Netscape 4.x than it already does (Sorry Tripps). In fact, I'm not totally certain that I even could, this browser does it all wrong, it even has its own definition of pixels(!??!).

Second, if you are using Opera 4 scrolling will not work. This is because Opera 4 does not support mouseovers, an integral part of this site, and this problem is thus unsolvable.

For all you Netscape 4.x users I recommend an update, or even a switch to another browser. If you are not comfortable with using Internet Explorer, I recommend my favorite browser Opera 6, definitely the best one out there. For Opera 4 users I definitely recommend an update.
Browsers are free, so there is no reason to cling to an old, outdated version.

If this post generates a flood of flames by users who just love their Netscape 4.x, I will consider reconsidering, after all it is the viewers who are right, but my recommendations still stand. :)

    Happy updating!

Thanks Vanadin, I just looked at it with Opera 6 and the site reads and scolls fine. The last time I tried to upgrade Netscape it crashed 5 times in 30 min. so that was the end of that. I've used Opera just never got around to installing it until today.
