Has anyone played the demo of Lionheart yet. I played through it and it is really fun. Before I played the demo I was highly sceptical and honestly expecting another "NVN" game. But it was really fun! Plenty of interesting dialouge, thousands of randomly generated items, and great in-depth customization, don't miss the demo. I know this has been put up before, but you can download it at: www.worthplaying.com

So far i've only heard negative comments on the Lionheart demo. I haven't played it myself, but i keep hearing things about how fast your enemies move, and that it's almost impossible to target them that way.

Of course it's only a demo, i expect a very good game when it finally hits the stores.

Well the enemies do move fast and the beginning is quite difficult if you play a mage character. Still it was fun though I would love to see more tactical possibilities in combat. I just hope most of the game ain't hack'n slash because IWD2 and D2 just do that far better than Lionheart.

It's a cheap Diablo ripoff. Succeeding miserably at everything except for music. The fighting is horrible, even while it's easy enough for a melee character, it's so incredibly repetitive and boring that I played the demo half-way through and already got so bored I just knew no amount of good PS:T level dialogue could save it. The spells were rediculously few and simple (they apply to the full-version as well, you know), and even more rediculously weak. My top-notch mage with highest possible points in charisma, intelligence and agility + skilled trait with full points put to ice-spells needed to use a hit & run-like-hell tactic as the average amount of hits an enemy could take was something around 3-5. As those most powerful spells also took a huge amount of mana, you had to run around collecting all of the stupid unimmersive mana-spirits here and there, and still not get enough of it.

Unless the combat is drastically changed and improved to the full version, this game has no future.

Mana based spells. Health and mana regeneration. Makes it really a diablo like game.

I played it with rogue like character (default one), because I like rogues.

It was a piece of cake with some hit and run tactics and only one buf spell that I found to be worth: +5? AC for 2? minutes.

Leveled to 3. level, spent points in range weapons, sneak and pick lock.

It if funny. It could be a nice game with some nigty equipment (I saw boots of speed and mana regeneration - very powerfull item for a rogue - had not enough many to buy it).

One who liked Diablo, and likes RPG could see this one as a merger.

I plan to buy this one. It is not a DnD game, but could have some nice RPG points (dialogues, choices).

The demo (or what I've played of it) is patetic. But I would imagin that the actul game is going to be much much better. Go the the offical site and take a look at some of the dialog/story fetures. I do hope the battles get better though.

    Oh boy, what is this?

Some guy just made a fusion between Diablo and Fallout, did he got paid for that?

Seriously, the one thing I found not so bad was the demonic spirit' speeches.

Like it was said above, unless drastic changes are made (ie if it turns into a whole different game... a good one), it's worth peanuts.
I want my download time back. :nolike:
