    A while back I started a thread on Baldur's Gate: The Movie. ASking who would you have to play the roles of the different characters. Well, now I'm going even further where no one should go with Baldur's Gate.
    Where am I going? Baldur's Gate: The Musical!
    Just imagine it. Minsc breaks into a little song and tap dance number.
    You can recreate the dream sequences like Rodger's and Hemmerstein's dream sequence from "Oklahoma"
    If you bring in the BG:II story line, you can have the main character do a number like Gene Kelly's "Almost Like Being In Love" Of course, the main character can do the cheesy singing to his love interest.

    For the Viconia romance, you could have any number of songs -- "Love Hurts", "Love Bites" (especially good for the vampire scene, which I guess would work for any romance.) If you got hit by a stinking cloud during a romantic dialogue, you could even do that Adam Sandler hit, "Love Stinks"!

    Irenicus -- or, better yet, Demogorgon -- could sing "Sympathy for the Devil".

    Saemon Havarian could sing that Styx classic "Come Sail Away". Keldorn could always be singing modified hymns. You could have a background chorus doing Joan Jett's "Hell is for Children" while liberating the slave pens. There could be a remake of Thomas Dolby's "She Blinded me with Science", with magic substituted for science. For any evil female spellcaster, her theme could be Santana's "Black Magic Woman". The windup to the whole thing could be Queen's "We are the Champions" -- you could also use a modified version for level 3 of Watchers Keep -- "I am the Cambion" This could be a hit!

    Queen's 'Bohemiam Rhapsody' seems to fit pretty well to a lot of the story, and I'm sure someone (not me) could adapt the words to make it fit even better.

    Ok, so we need to get the rights to the BG series. Then we need to come up with a script. All of us musicians can get together and write a score. Anyone else besides me able to write an orchestration for a small orchestra? I bet Scarampella could.
    Who dances here? We need a choriographer for the dance routines.
    Anyone else besides me good at building stuff? We'll need sets. Lots of sets.
    Any electricians out there? Set up the lighting.
    Who likes to play with fireworks? I see a lot of pyrotechnics for this one.
    Should we start on broadway?
    Believe it or not, and if you know how ridiculously goofy I really am, you'll believe me. I am actually half serious here. If not for the musical, then definitely for the movie version I brought up a while back. To keep our cost down, we'll get members to play the characters and all the different roles. Just think of how fun that would be!

    I have a slight musical talent, but I am a lot better at writing lyrics, so I can collaborate with someone else....
    I can dye my hair and play Imoen....Well, actually, dye my hair, lose ten pounds, and then play Imoen....
