Ironically the problem of racism started (well the major problems started) during our long term cease fires and due to the 'Good Friday Agreement (http://www.nio.gov.uk/the-agreement)' political prisoners were released early. Normally this would be a time of celebration but more sinister things started to happen...

So what do Irish terrorists do during times of peace?

*Racist/hate attacks* - Polish, Portuguese and Muslims getting this the worst
*Punishment beatings* - spiked baseball bat induced injuries, shotgun blasts to the knees etc
*Bank Robberies* - I am sure this made world news
*Intimidating people* into voting for their preferred political party - McCarthy killing
*Fundraising abroad* - NORAID, Friends of Sinn Fein
*Murder* for 'fun' - see the McCarthy killing

Interesting thing during the McCartney killing was that 2 Sinn Fein members were in McGuinesses Bar and claimed they seen "nothing". This bar holds around 60 people, so it would be hard not see a man get stabbed to death, and have the evidence disposed off.

Sorry Tal, I don't know what I was thinking of!

Ironic? No, just the fact that the barbarous meat-heads have had to find another way to vent their anger and these are the easy targets.
The IRA ceased to be about NI "freedom" many years ago and is basically a group of people that like hurting and killing others.

I agree with you completely, but try telling that to Sinn Fein supporters from abroad.
