    If the lights go down in the theater this Friday, the trailer comes up and we get a scene of Frodo hitting another hobbit on the head, pumping his fists and shouting "Yes!" it will be all over. One of the many things wrong with entirely execrable Dungeons & Dragons was its repeated use of modern jargon or turns of phrase -- thus utterly divorcing itself from its fantastic premise. But the fact that D&D was terrible had little impact on our lives. Now, imagine how much worse for us all it would be if Sam Gamgee ever yells "It's a ring thang, yo!"
