Can you actually Dual class a Wizard Slayer into a Mage?

I believe you can; however by doing so, you would become a vanilla fighter. It has always been my understanding that "kits" could not dual-class and vice versa.

Wrong, you CAN dual-class FROM a kit, just not into one. This means that a level 13 Wizardslayer would still be a level 13 Wizardslayer if you dual him to another class.

Would that I had the game handy to test out, but IIRC, there are some kits from which you cannot dual. Someone check that out for me, if you could!
A wizardslayer dualled to a mage would be fascinating, story wise. Perhaps he came to realize that magic is not all evil. Perhaps he decided that in order to fight evil mages he needed to learn their ways. My only question is, would he retain his inability to use any magic items other than weapons and armor? If he did, that would make him a really wimpy mage -- no robes, no cloaks, no wands, no belts, amulets or rings . . . he could wear some magic chain mail, a magic helmet, a magic shield and wield a magic weapon (all of this after surpassing his Wizard Slayer level.) This could make life very difficult for him, if such is the case.

Man, the wizardslayer is hot nowadays! :D

I think he could wear robes, since they're armor, but for the rest, you're probably right. Except he won't be a wimpy mage, he'll be a though mage (fighter levels). He'll probably suck at fighting though... (but maybe tenser's can help that)

Of course you can dual-class a wizard-slayer into a mage. It's not as bad as you think with armor, because as has been said, robes go into the armor slot on the paper doll. Cloaks are out of the question though.

I'd probably give him 5 *'s in either short or long bows to keep him out of harms way.
