[IMG] Have you noticed when you're on the character creation stage - if you have chosen human, or half-elf (which have the same body) and you're about to choose a head for your body - then among the human heads there is a very strange one? It's both in male and female version, a very pretty, elfish face, with pointy ears and horns. If it wasn't for the horns, I would have used it for the half-elves, but what race has horns? Are they supposed to be half-demons or something? And if they are demon-ish, why are the faces so pretty? I thought demons were ugly?

What are your theories on this elfish/demonish head for humans?

It's a tiefling head. Tieflings are the offspring of one demonic parent, so they retain some of their markings like horns, tail, sharp teeth or similar. I use that head for my character, it's the only one that I liked. ;)

It's the only human male face I liked too, (the others were too old or too ugly) so I use it on my paladin - it tickled my dark sense of humour to have a goody paladin that looks like a demon.... :D

But are Thieflings half-demon/half-human then? Can they also be half-elf or other races?

In BG2, the thiefling Haer'Dallis looked like an elf - his paper doll and avatar I mean... but there's no thiefling head available for the elf bodies in NWN - why human body class? Or should you chose half-elf class? Do they have special abilities? Why aren't they mentioned as separate class during creation, if there are even heads for them? (I know you can type in sub-class, but that doesn't change the body or avatar.)
So, why human body in NWN, when they have elf body in BG2?

Uh, Tal, the 3e books state that tieflings are not half demons. They contain demon blood, generally several generations removed. One of their ancestors would have been a halfdemon (like a cambion). Half Demons are generally called cambions or demon knights (or simply half demons).

1: There is a head with horns for the male elf, the horns just look a little weird...
2: The DM (or module designer) can (IIRC) desing his own subclasses...

Rastor, there's no mention of "half" anywhere in my post. My wording was a bit off, but you explained it further, so I won't bother any more.

Wha... on my elf too! Have I been playing an elf fighter with a thiefling head all this time??

I had no idea those were horns - I thought it was a kind of weird circlet... or something like that :D

Wow, both my paladin and my fighter with different thiefling heads... I must obviously have an innate attraction to thieflings...

What a shock! :D
