    No. It's probably to avoid a limitless source of money.

    Every store accepts pickpocketed items, but none buy items stolen from a store - not even thieves.

    Just provoke random fights with random respawning monsters and sell the loot. There is no general time limit in the game.

    The imho fastest way: Try to sleep in the wyvern cave (Cloakwood, chapter4), shoot the wyverns and sell the heads to officer Vai in Bereghost.

    But you'll get more than enough money without doing so during the later chapters.

    The easiest way to get money is - of course - cheating.

    Actually, you can sell fenced items in the Blushing Mermaid in Baldur's Gate.

    I also thought you could sell fenced items to the thief/merchant outside of Durlag's Tower.

    I think you'd be able to sell something to Black Lily. I know you can sell 'found' objects to Feldpost, but I never tried with stuff I stole through the buy screen. Didn't think my pickpocket skill was high enough.
