I imported my 10th level Bard from the end of BG/TotSC. I had 80HP at the end, I'm only getting 61 for a start in BGToB now. Shouldn't I get my 80, what happened?

My only guess is that it rolls for your HP again in BG2. You're out of luck, I guess :/

If it is so, then why don't you keep importing him until you get max score?

Did your character have any items on him at the end of BG that altered his HP? (these HPs due to items would be lost on starting BG2) That's really all I can think of that would drop his HP like that.

I have a 16 con, 8hp per level. No items!

If you lower the difficulty slider to easy you always get max HP. (Up to level 10) Maybe this is the reason.

I've had this happen too with every character I imported from BG1. It seems (with TOB and the latest patch installed anyway) that upon importing your character into SOA the HP are adjusted to the average value if they were higher. I usually just use Shadowkeeper to return my HP to their old value as soon as the game starts.

@Sorvo: you had max hp anyway, so just reload the character with Normal gameplay settings.

It rolls the hp randomly each time, so if you try 2-3 times you will probably get a lower/higher value.

Just pause the game as soon as it goes black and check. You can then restart without having to go throught the opening sequence until you are happy with the hp roll.

@Bard: It's not random #'s, always 61! I think Ziad has the solution, time for a uninstall and just install SoA this time. I'll report back with the answer :)

Sorvo, I had that prob too, it's some kind of error in tob. As long as you only have soa, you get the correct hp, but as soon as you install tob, even patched, it screws up the hp of your imported bg1 chars.

@Sorvo: With my install, my Cleric from BG1 had anything from 45 -> 67 hps when importing from BG1. I did find that if I had the game on Normal it would give me max hp. What I just noticed was that I wasn't max level.

I have just imported a L10 Druid with 88hp (8hp + 1hp CON per level). When I started the game my Druid had 88hp, every time I imported him.

I am running TOB + Latest Patch + Baldurdash + Tactics + Ascension + Redemption + Sola + Valen + Delainy + Kitanya. Don't know whether any of these have made a difference.

It's not Kitanya, and I doubt it's being caused by Delainy, Valen, or Solaufein.

My guess would be it is Baldurdash, since that fixes alot of problems, but I don't have it installed, just a bare patched game with tob.
