I've played through NWN2 once, just when it was released. That time I played and Arcane Trickster which I had a very good time with. He didn't really get the melee combat versatility I was looking for though.

I just started a new save yesterday, once more with a rogue. The Assassin prestige class is what I'm aiming for. I was thinking about the Shadowdancer and Shadow Thief of Amn, but I think Assassin will suit me and my character better (Chaotic Evil Drow).

I mainly just want some basic tips about what weapon/s to specialize in, feats that are recommended etc. I'm going dual-wield and I will use a dagger in off hand, mayby main hand. I've played alot of Baldur's Gate 2 in my days, and I know that some weapons are harder to find, or doesn't exist with "good enough" enchants. For example, a really awesome Bastard Sword in Shadows of Amn don't exist (compared to the other common weapons, swords and axes etc.). Only one really good katana in SoA etc. So, should I avoid any of the weapons?

I wanna go with either Katana, Dagger or Short Sword, mainly because I want to keep my Rogue a sneaking dexterity based character, not like a Swashbuckler or Fighter/Thief with a Long sword swinging about.

I don't want any tips on where to find the weapons since I've forgotten just about everything about the game, just advice on what weapons that are worth specializing in ;)

[EDIT] I just progressed into my first level in the Assassin prestige class. How do I use poison on my weapons? Do I have to extract and create them myself, where can I buy the the materials, from what material, if not, where can I buy the posion themselves etc.

I was also wondering about the crafting skills. I get the weapons and armor crafting, but not enchanting and alchemy. I got tons of gems and such that I have no idea how to use. Anyone?
