Stakes for Vampires

    [​IMG] I think I made a mistake. After carrying around stakes for vampires well after the graveyard district, I felt saf that I would not need them for any more of these foul beasts, as there may be more vamps, but no more coffins. I have a feeling that there may be more coffins in the asylum dungeon. Am I right? And whee could I get stakes on the island? I think I'm in trouble, am I?

    You will need one stake in the Asylum, but you should be able to find at least one in there somewhere...

    [​IMG] Check the shop and the temple of Umberlee in Brynnlaw. I'm not sure if they have any stakes though.

    In Spellhold you'll need one stake but IIRC you can find one after fighting a pack of goblins at the same level.

    [​IMG] Yeah, I made the same mistake myself. Fortunately, the good people at Black Isle anticiapted people not loading themselves down with non-magical wood, and made sure that there were plenty of stakes handy when you need them.

    Think about it. In real life if I had just chased a vampire into his coffin and was lacking a stake, I'd improvise. That non-magical axe handle would be chopped up and sharpened, or a torch would be filed to a nice point! They couldn't make this a life-or-death issue.
