    [​IMG] OK, thanks for the replies in my other post. I faced Yaga Shura and we was weak! Anyway, now I'm in the monk infested city and pretty much had enough of their tyranny after five minutes. I went into the smugglers cave and decided not to attack them. I like the animations for the monk but I'm sure they stand little chance against my party at this point. (Although I'm sure a high level monk is a butt kicker). Anyway, if I attack them in the cave, does it make it harder to get into the stronghold? Also, how in the world do I get up to the smithy's place?

    I don't think it makes a difference whether or not you attack them.
    To get up to the Smithy's place you have to go into the woman's house to the right of the tavern and climb up her ladder. Than you walk across to the tavern roof and climb another ladder. I'm sure you can figure it out from there.

    First, killing the monks in the smuggler's cave is okay... You can end up taking a different "route" into their "lair/stronghoold."

    Second, I'll give you a hint rather than the straight solution - enjoy finding it.... If you look to the east of the map, above the tavern, you see those ladders on the rooftops?.... end of hint...

    i actually thought it was kinda dumb how you had to go in someone's house in order to get to the top of the cliff - "scuse me while i use your house like a flight of stairs"

    I too did not like to have to go through her house. #1 I found it awfully rude.
    #2 It was an extreme inconvenience
    Oh well. I suppose it can't always be perfect.

    Any time you run across monks attacking someone, you can mop up the floor with them and cause no adverse affects to your progression. In fact I got a reward from the priest I saved.

    The woman in the house you use for a staircase, had me for a thief so I had to cast mass invisibility a damn inconvenience that ;)
