Spells... Not enough?

    [​IMG] Ok, dont flame me, but i had BG2 a while ago, then i got ID2, then i had a spare $20 so i went out and bought BG1 with the expansion. I started playing and after a while i noticed that the highest spell level my Mage could get was 5. It had the pages for 6,7,8, and 9, but i can find any spell scrolls or anything above level 5... is this normal, or do you get the extra spells in the expansion?

    I can't remember any high level spells in bg1 so its probably normal although odd

    You get to cast level 5 spells in the expansion. Before the expansion you could only cast them from scrolls, not via your spellbook. (I.e. you could only cast up to level 4 spells.)

    Of course this is normal. BG1 is not BG2. You're only half the level of BG2 by the end of BG+ToSC.

    You can get higher level spells if you have Dark Side Of The Sword Coast Installed. I remember summoning a Doombringer and using him to bash Drizzt into the ground while my party stood safely off to one side.
