When you cast the spell, minor sequencer, spell sequencer, or spell trigger, your list of memorized spells will come up, at least those of low enough level. You then select the spells you want in the sequencer or trigger. After that a special ability will be added to your character, accessed through the star button at the bottom of the display. To use the sequencer or trigger, simply click on the sequencer icon. The magic icon will appear if the spells need to be targeted. Click on the target.

To cast a spell sequencer, you must first memorize the spell. Upon casting(before any confrontation), you jump to a special screen. There you can pick the mage or cleric(only for cleric/mages) spells to place in the sequencer or contingency. Minor sequencer allows you to store 2 second level or lower spells. Sequencer allows you to store 3 fourth level or lower spells. Once stored, they remove the spells from memorization. They remained stored for a fairly long time(not sure how long). To acess it, look in under special abilities. It will either be a feather icon or a circle icon depending on which you cast. Click on the icon and select the spell target. The spells are then released all at once with no casting time. Very usefull to do a lot of damage at once.
You can use a sequencer in the same way, except it is cast automatically depending on the situation you decide on (lost 50% HP, hit, enemy sighted, etc.). You only get to have one of each spell at any given time.
