Special Effects of Dungeons & Dragons: The Movie

    As the title implies, the article is about the upcoming D&D movie (December 8 for USA), especially focusing on the CG movies throughout the film.
    A snippet:

    Dungeons & Dragons: the Movie is a spectacular feat of special effects. Dragons, beholders, a sprite, and other mystical, magical, and monstrous creatures come to life as though lifted straight from the pages of your favorite D&D creature compendium, in this full-length feature film from Sweatpea Entertainment and New Line Cinema. The movie is full of groundbreaking special effects -- no fantasy film has ever been made with as many computer generated (CG) special effects as this one. Some scenes are entirely CG, with no live action footage at all.
    Other scenes contain dozens, even hundreds of creatures, all moving and interacting seamlessly.
