    I've had quite a busy week in real life and SP-wise, and the upcoming week is only going to be busier. The North American release of Neverwinter Nights 2 is coming up on Tuesday (Oct. 31), and I'll be busy with providing a certain kind of support for it (keep following the news for the announcement once I can make it public), and as soon as the flood of Neverwinter Nights 2 reviews and post-release news starts streaming in, both Chev and myself will be very busy indeed to keep up with the complete coverage.

    A few days back I've also posted the first part of our extensive interview with Alan Miranda, the CEO of Ossian Studios, regarding their hit Neverwinter Nights module, Darkness over Daggerford. If you haven't yet, make sure to give it a read. I'll be posting the second part tomorrow, so keep an eye out for that as well.

    As I will continue to do for the foreseeable future, I'm going through dozens of post-it's, reminders on pieces of paper scattered all over my desk, reminders listed on my computer's desktop, delayed tasks, delayed news, delayed sub-projects on SP... And then there are personal issues in real life, work, studies... Juggling all of this at once unfortunately requires a constant setting of priorities, which rarely coincide with that I'd like to be doing at that given moment. Still, I have managed to return to regularly scheduled updates of site features, so I feel that this is a good first step. Now I just need time in abundance for all the other outstanding tasks and projects. Wish me luck...

    Well, the most obvious answer would be that I don't. Or, at least not anywhere as well and as timely as I'd like. Understaffing is a huge problem at SP, and unfortunately short of beginning to pay people money to help around the site, it doesn't look very likely that the situation will improve in the near future. There simply aren't any volunteers willing to do any work around the site even with all the perks that being on the SP team brings.

    Decent help has always been hard to find, but these days it seems that it's transitioned into the realm of the impossible. Not unexpected, given that the Internet has become a mass entertainment medium where most people expect instant gratification with zero invested effort, but disappointing nonetheless.

    I think that there are some volunteers, but their real life conflicts with SP. I, for example, have school during the week, and thus no free time, and the weekends are spent sleeping and homeworking. I wish I could do something to help, but damn RL keeps me away from SP :(

    Why don't you draw out a list of the 'positions' you need volunteers for (News Team, Moderators etc.) then people could put their names forward for any one that they could do, so they know what they'd be doing.

    You mean like this: http://www.sorcerers.net/Main/help.php ?

    That's always been there... It's missing the news editor position (which I'll be adding soon), but the rest has been there for ages. Even when people do offer to do something, nothing ever comes of it. There must have been at least 10 volunteers over the last couple of years for various reviewer positions, and not one of those people has ended up writing anything. Why so many people volunteer without then actually doing anything is a mystery to me.

    I don't have the skills to do any of that stuff (except the book reviews, of which I have done a few).

    Plus, I don't think I have ever seen that online Icewind Dale 2 walkthrough before. It's great!

    It's pretty simple. People want to help, but then they see how much work it is. :rolleyes: Which is why I've never volunteered; I already know how much work stuff like this takes. :shake:

    Harbourboy, considering it's the first or the second one listed on SP in the IWD2 Walkthroughs subsection, I'm not sure how you could have missed it.
