Sorry...YET another Jaheira romance question

    Going through the romance with Jaheira, still in Chapter One. Aerie is in my party as well, and she's been giving me the romance talks. I plan on booting her soon, but I definitely want to continue the Jaheira romance. Problem is, now Aerie keeps chatting me up, and Jaheira hasn't said anything in a while. They did argue over me just recently, but I'm not sure if I killed the Jaheira romance by not telling Aerie to stuff it. Is the Jaheira romance that fragile?

    And if I did screw it up, what's the CLUA code I need to fire things up again? Thanks all.

    They have a few sparring matches before the "her or me" point. Jaheira's romance has a lot of event-based triggers; you might need to rest or rest outdoors to get the next lovetalk.

    You can check the status of Jaheira with CLUAConsole:GetGlobal("JaheiraRomanceActive","Global")

    A return value of 1 means active, 2 is committed, and 3 means it's over. If it is screwed, use these to set it back to active:

    CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("AerieRomanceActive","Global","3")
    CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("JaheiraRomanceActive","Global","1")

    Cool. So I can only kill Jaheira's romance if I say the wrong thing during a love talk, I boot her, or she gets killed? It won't officially end until the "her or me" battle? Thanks, that's good to hear.

    In that regard, because Jaheira's dialogues depend on events, there is plenty that can go wrong with those events as per the original programming.

    I recommend downloading the patch available at www.worldzone.net/games/manveru/jaheira.html

    It will prevent event-based problems from occurring, but it won't fix them after they've occurred. The sooner its installed, the better.

    As for the "yet another Jaheira question", there's no need to feel any shame or embarassment over it. This is Lady Jaheira w'ere talking about after all. Know that there's always at least one SP resident who will glady answer any Jaheira questions when he can (me). :)

    [​IMG] Still in Chapter One? Aerie is the only romance that works in chapter one, Jaheiras' from when you accept Gaelans' offer OR give him the money. if you do neither I suppose no Jaheira :hmm:

    Event based Romance dialogues start with Xzar quests, so travel a lot to get the wounded man quest.

    When they argue over you always side with the one you want and tell the other one where to shove their love :p

    I didn't think Chapter 2 started until you paid off Gaelan Bayle. :confused: Anyway, I usually like to finish most (if not all) of the money-raising, stronghold (patched so I can do them all) and NPC subquests before paying Gaelan. This way I avoid more obnoxious battles with vampires.

    Anyway - thanks everyone. Kicked Aerie to the curb, and Jaheira and I are progressing nicely. I'll be rockin' that sweet harper booty in no time. ;)
