    Hey need some help here.
I'm in the Windspear hills dungeon and currently having a hell of a time with the bloody vampires. They seem to ignore all the magic defenses my kensai/mage can cast( stoneskin, mirror image, etc) and take out my whole party in minutes.
Should i come back later? Also, Nalia has been captured by some noble bastard. I got 3 pieces of evidence on him but the officer said it wasn't enough. Any idea what else i have to do? Thanks.

Vampires can be a pain in the ass sometimes. i have had some trouble killing them more than once. use Haste and Oils of Speed and take them out quickly. try to lure them out of the rooms one at a time. fighting 3 or 4 of them can be deadly.

i cant remember exactly how much evidence i had, but i took everything to Renall's commander (cant remember his name) in the main government building in the Government District. Nalia was there and after some discusion the commander let her go.

For Nalia's freedom quest, you need 3 pieces of evidence + you need to talk to a guy (this will be used as a fourth piece).
This guy is at the docks district, near the place where Xzar was.

[IMG] Ok.. I killed those little bastard.. after getting killed about 4 times.. its a lame tactic tho, using the dumbness of the AI but it works.. summon some stuff.. then use an invisible character.. send the stuff inside to get slaughtered and keep them busy then send you invisible char to block the door. and voila.. they can't come out and won't attack the invisible dude.. make sure he's not on a script and that he remains there. then the trick is to pelt them with spell and be careful not to get confused or charmed.

Hehehehe, vampires don't know how to open doors. Just lure them into the killing zone with your people up where the orc archers used to be and then close the doors.

At that point, you have any number of options for dispatching them.

If you opt for melee, you really want to have somebody handy who can cast negative plane protection and/or greater restoration scrolls on hand.

A ranger dual-wielding longswords one of which is +4 to undead, the other of which is +2 + fire damage, negative plane protected, wearing boots of speed chopped those vampires into pieces quicker than you can say nosferatu.
