some comments from a chapter 2/3 novice

    played the game into chapter 2/3.. done arnise keep/planar sphere/umar hills/temple ruins/unseeing eye.. and some other misc.

    playing a half-elf kensai (no multiclass...)

    have had minsc and jah. since the start.. when I got valgar, I picked him up for good.

    dropped yoshimo for jan (needed more magic, less thief) and have retaken aerie when I just couldn't stand having an evil character in my party anymore (viconia)

    my comments:

    1. the dragons are really hard. you all know that. if you go straight at them, they tear you up. I don't have a problem with people cloudkilling/fake talking. I just want to hammer them straight on--so it looks like I will have to wait until after 'underdark'

    2. I have used walkthroughs up to this point .. quite a bit. Doesn't destroy the story for me--this game is very rich and interesting--like reading a very good fantasy book

    3. I did cheat. I admit it. I used shadow keeper to raise aerie to 18/18 int/wis. I know. I am a loser. BUT I just couldn't accept that she was inferior to that evil witch viconia. and I needed magic. ug

    4. Jan is the best character in terms of being 'interesting'. he is unbelievable! minsc is second best.

    5. the gameplay is awesome


    btw--any good NWN guild you all know of? some looking for roleplayers/older players?
