I take objection to the "old fart" moniker, by the way...

Your party looks good. Of course, your options for playing evil are quite limited to begin with. A thief type is a great choice for your protagonist. Personally, I'd drop Haer'Dalis (not "purely" evil) and I wouldn't bother with Yoshimo. One thief is plenty.

I'd go with you (assassin), Viconia, Edwin and Korgan. You should plow through easily and have fun to boot. The evil party of four is great!

    Have fun!

I'd suggest making the PC a Fighter/Thief since you don't need a 'pure' thief for the game yet you do need one to get past level 7. However the problem with that is you won't be able to romance Viconia if your PC is multiclassed because humans CAN'T multiclass. I guess you could get the Any Race Romance Mod. Evil parties can usually do it with just the 4 evil characters (PC, Edwin, Korgan and Viccy) since they are all incredibly powerful in their own right (eash posessing primary stats at their maximum).

I'm with Abomination, go with the multi-F/T! Viconia will romance half-elves, and IIRC half-orcs with either the Baldurdash fixpack or the SP fixpack. A half-orc F/T is a fun character and can easily handle all of your thieving needs.

Don't forget the 19 CON! If you bring him through BG1 with the tomes, you can have a 20 STR, 19 DEX, 20 CON regenerating monster backstabber. (drool)

    Well there's alway Dual classing...

Thief level 7 or 9 than dual to fighter, It's true that the three evil NPC are über powerfull.

19 dex is overrated for melee fighters. It dosen't give an AC bonus over from 18 to 19, it only gives ranged attack bonus. Not to mention you can't play Half-Orcs in BG... unless you get the conversion mod.

Replace Haer if you don't like micromanaging too much. But if you're planning on going through a lot of mods, its better if you take him along.
He's an accurate replacement for Keldorn, and worth more for the party as a whole.
Other alternatives are Jan Jansen and Cernd (if you can find some way to fit him in).
Jan Jansen should liven up the party nicely and provide an extra casting hand. Cernd's spells are very useful, but you'll have to cope with his personality first.

If you want to have en all evil party you could create them in multiplayer mode and switch the file over.

Apart from this Hear'Dalis is no front line fighter and backstabbing can get very tedious. The only major hole in the party is the lack of mellee force with Korgan as the only real tank (earlier today I made Haer'Dalis go against a single orc in the Windspear hills, and he took 23 dammage - about half of his total hp - while the orc remained on uninjured)

However I've heared that Vicci is supposed to stand up pretty in battle and if you can knock out enough hp off of your enimy before he sees you, you should be O.K. My only concern is those uber strong creatures who you can't backstab. All the best with the game though.

Which is why you need to micromanage Haer a lot - with Tenser's, Improved Haste, Stoneskin, and Offensive Spin he'll bore a hole through anything.
But sometimes this can get too tedious, and to make him manage without his spells you'll have to give him some good items.
Viconia can be a good tank, as all clerics can. Just don't count on her doing a lot of damage - she can be very hardy, but her summons should take care of attacking.

drop Yoshimo, you don't need 2 thieves and you'll just be fighting over who gets the better thief equipment. I'd summon a fighter(evil of course), maybe from BG1, using the Console.
